I am a Bath based freelance web designer offering optimised website design services to clients across Bath and Somerset. I focus on good design and usability, ensuring that all sites are search engine friendly, easy for visitors to navigate and that all content is well presented and accessible. I can provide anything from a basic one page brochure site to more complex multi page sites for companies with a greater volume of content. I only ever use valid XHTML and CSS meaning that my sites pass W3C validation.

SEO

When having a new website built a key factor to consider is that the site can be found easily in web search engines such as Google or Yahoo. This practice is known as search engine optimisation or SEO. I take SEO seriously, ensuring that all sites built are correctly optimised at no extra charge. Once sites are complete I will submit them into Google and Yahoo for you as well as setting up a Google Analytics account allowing me to track the traffic your site receives.

SOCIAL NETWORKING

In this day and age many companies find it is not enough to have just a website alone. Social networking has taken a firm hold in the last few years, and people often find it beneficial to create a presence for themselves or their company on the various networking platforms available, such as Twitter, Facebook and Myspace. These sites can be great for advertising purposes, for increasing Google rankings and also for keeping customers updated on your latest work, news and events.

Whilst setting up such accounts can be simple enough, some people would prefer to have the hassle taken out of their hands by having someone establishing the initial profile for them. You may already have an account set up but wish to 'brand' your page to tie in with your existing website or promotional material. JOWDesign can set up Twitter accounts, Myspace or Facebook pages and Wordpress blogs. I can also design you a custom background for your Twitter page or a bespoke Myspace or Wordpress 'Theme'.
